My wife booked this for me as a birthday treat. What a lovely surprise. From start to finish a great experience. They have spent so much time and effort into recreating a magnificent look back in time. Truly amazing. Staff are wonderful, all wearing the uniforms of the time and looking immaculate. Staff on the train were good too. Trish was an absolute delight. Looking after the customers, checking if they need anything and making sure they are happy and content. A wonderful lady. All in all a wonderful day out which we will be doing again soon. Cannot recommend highly enough. Very easy five star rating. p.s. the Fish and chips were pretty good too.

After a restless night in the Travelodge, we struggled to find the energy to go off for a walk so decided to enjoy a heritage train ride from Loughborough to Leicester on a steam train and DEMU. Great line, displays and good use of each station. Some good vegan choices at Quorn and Woodhouse station cafe too.
One of the biggest and most well preserved railway stations I've ever visited.

A nice step back in time, very nostalgic. Bit of a let down due to a water problem on this day so unable to use toilets. Shop was nice, excessive on the price structure.
Took 3 staff to deal with 1 person before letting us on the train. Quite why we had to wait for 3 of them to finish talking is beyond me.

Great place for kids. They thoroughly enjoyed the Dino experience on the extinct express. Total journey 1hour 15minutes.

Took my father in law on the beautiful steam train! Just a ride to Leics & back. He loved it and so did we. Great to get off and look at the little shops and tea rooms too.

We had a fantastic time here. The station is interesting and well kept. The facilities and shops were good. The train journey was enjoyable and the staff were excellent. We had a great afternoon tea on the train.

Good day out. Sat in on a very interesting talk about a rail crash in 1933, very near the end of Loughborough platform. There is also a commemorative plaque near the signal box.
